In my view, In case if the competent authority of Health Deptt. Gives a certificate of Total Permanent Disability, only then ,the person can get the Pension under EPS 1995.
Pl. also contact the ESI authorities for benefits under ESI Act in such cases.

On death of a member while in service, family/nominee will get pension even if he has contributed for only one month to EPS/EPF.
Please search citehr for details of forms, I had also replied to a similar query with details of forms & documents required. If you don't find it please let me know so that I can give you details. Please note that Widow & children below 25 years will get pension & as per new rules which are yet to be implemented minimum pension will be more than 1000. Pension entitlement of widow on death of husband while in service will be more than what the employee would have got as pension if he had retired on the day of death. Widow/Nominee is entitled for an insurance(EDIL) amount also which is inbuilt in the pension scheme.

Sorry minimum pension will be Rs 1000, not more than 1000 as mentioned in my previous post. Sorry for the error.
