I am presently working for one of the Multi National Company and i am taking care of all the statutory complainces of my employer. So now can anyone please let me know that this activity is comes under the role of HR Function Or not.?

Greetings,
I fully understand that we should only work for what we are hired for. However, if sometimes , you are offered to do more, please consider it as an opportunity.
Statutory Compliance is treated as a different department as the workload of maintaining the legal standards can be quite demanding.
However, if your firm is small, it is quite doable.
I dont mean to sound preachy, but please consider working in the Compliance Department, as an skill addition. A thorough knowledge in the legal standards can be achieved only by working through it. You may need to step up your knowledge, if this is the first time you are managing it.

Dear friend
Since statutory compliances revovle around employees it should be always under the control of Personnel /Hr.In case of any non compliance which would affect the employee they will approach the HR department only.
If HR department is executing the statutory compliance exactly the organisation remains effective.
