Hi all.. I am Laxmin Dave ... doing MBA in Gujarat (INDIA)... i have a query regarding how does performance appraisal linked to career management of an employee. I have conceptual clearity ... i need some more details. Moreover what questions to be included in a questionnair if it has to be made on Performance appraisal and career management in baking sector... i mean i have a confusion that should questionnair concentrate on the managers of bank or on employees...

See performance appraisal is done of an employee when one has to check how much he/she is fruitful for the organization. It is done to evaluate the performance of employee and sometime it'd done to fix compensation.So that it could be checked that salary which he/she is getting is fair or not.
And career management is done for the organization as a whole. There organization's mission and objectives are seen with employees objective.There organization tries to match employees career goal with organization's objective.
And as u have to do ur project in banking sector. If u r concentrating on manager than prepare questionnaire on theta basis or do otherwise.
If u have to take both in mind than prepare questionnaire taking both into concern
