Hemant Ratilal Bari
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please solve my query.
If any employee leave factory before 1 hour from his duty time and because second day he need to join duty on another location for one day which is nearer to his hometown. So he went first to his home by train and in between that period he met with small accident in train and he absent for 14 days due to injury.
Is this accident consider on official duty? Please suggest.
Regards,
Hemant

As per Employee\'s compensation Act,an employee can claim compensation,if accident occurs within one hour after the duty hours of the employee and before one hour of start of duty hours, provided it falls within the normal route from home to work place.
