Show cause notice is issued before taking a disciplinary action informing the employee about the alleged delinquency and asking for show cause why disciplinary action should not be initiated.
Another show cause notice is issued after finalising the procedures. The employee is asked why the punishment proposed should not be imposed. To ensure natural justice a period of 15 days are allowed for reply. No specific format.
