Actually professional Tax we have to pay half yearly once as per slab in employees gross salary but i have one doubt for example employee join in 15 Th Oct As per offer letter is monthly gross salary 50,000 but he joined middle of month the 15 gross is 25000 when u going to calculate professional tax which gross u have to consider offer letter is monthly gross salary or 15 days gross salary can u ple tell me any one .

As far as I am aware, professional tax is to be paid for the whole month irrespective of the date you join in. PT can’t be paid on pro-rata basis. However, seniors pls confirm the same.

Professional Tax is deducted for the complete month irrespective of the no. of days worked as per PT Tax Slab.

Hi Anil, Profession Tax has to be deducted based on the employee’s actual earnings in the particular period.
