Please guide us regarding the attrition of any organization. What is attrition and how to calculate monthly quaterly, halfyearly and yearly. accoridngly to HR Policy.

As the definition is indicative one can simply find out the numbers leaving on monthly, quarterly or yearly basis in absolute terms.
However there is something called attrition rate which is naturally different.

Dear Mr Kashinath and Appalanaidu,
a) Average number of employees during the year.
b) Average number of employees leaving during the year.
c) Divide b by a and arrive at the percentage. This is the average attrition during the year.
A detailed working was presented in the same forum almost an year ago and this was delibrated at length. Please search for it and you will find the same.
