Hi James,
Hope you are doing good!!
As per my knowledge, For both PF and ESI registrations, Your company should have registered under Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, 1961. And the employee count should be minimum 20. Once your company head count reaches to twenty, you can actual start up the registration process and PF and ESI.
For PF registration, You should approach the regional PF office, from where you can get the assistance for procedure explanation, Where as ESI can be registered online.

as per Aisha its mandatory that when your company hired 20th employee you should register your company under PF n ESI .
even for one member you need to go for Shop and Commercial Establishment Act. i believe you need to get register under Professional Tax act also.
if you go by your own then you may get confusion, search for good ESI n PF consultant in Bangalore (You may get lot) find out cheapest and better one.
last year we also did like this now we are happy with our consultant, he will take care of each and everything.if you need i give his address and contact details where u can get in touch with him

Hi Aisha & Parimala Even if there are lesser number of employees you shall opt for ESI & PF registrations as voluantary basis. Ofcourse Shops & Commercial establishments as well as PT is mandatory.
