Dear All, Can some one help on "how to divide salary". For exp.. if the salary is 30K / month then how to divide that for Basic, PF, ESI, HRA, etc... according to the Law.

Dear Chaitanya.
please find the break up
Gross - 30000
Basic -40 % of gross - 12000 ( 50% of gross in case of metro cities )
HRA - 40 % OF bASIC - 4800
Conveyance - 800 ( fIXED )
Medical - 1250 (Fixed )
Special Allowance - 11150 ( Remaining amount )
Deduction
Pf - 12% of basic - 1440
ESIC- if gross Salary is more than 15000 rs,.then they are not eligeble for esic
Prof . tax - 200

Yes, Basic, HRA, Conveyance, PF & ESI are according to law. But Medical, LTA and Special Allowance are as per the company's policy....
