H all,
I'm going to study the level of job satisfaction that exists in employees working for organisations with and without an HR department. I, however cannot use an already existing job.sat questionnaire as it does not capture whether the satisfaction, if any, can be attributed to the presence of an HR dept. Please help me out with regard to the same. How can i go ahead and conduct a quantitative comparative study?

Hi Arpit.
Thanks a lot for the reply. Is this questionnaire measuring job satisfaction only with regard to the HR as the cause. Also could you pls give me info with regard to the validity, reliability, standardisation of the same.
It is because i shall not be permitted by my college to employ an unstandardised scale.
Thanks and Regards
Ashwini

Dear Ashwini,
Do you work for the college or are you a student?
If you are looking for a tried and tested intrument, then you may have to pay for such a questionnaire. They do not come cheap.
Job satisfaction (JS) does not depend upon HR dept's services alone. There are more factors that affect JS than services provided by HR.
Hence, I wonder whose idea it is to just measure HR issues.
Had you searched CiteHR you would have found some discussions at https://www.citehr.com/104163-please...epartment.html found by websearch at Google

Hi MR.Simhan
I'm a student at the college. Precisely, i need an instrument that measures how the HR dept contributes to satisfaction. I've found one developed by TV Rao and Fr.Abraham.
Thanks
