Dear All Seniors
I am working in PVT.LTd. company, Company runing from last 8 years.
Now I have spend 7 year in that company. I want to know the grauity is applicable for that company or nor. Their management saying that In our company grauity is not applicable.

Dear Pulkit please specify what kind of company are you working in .... or u can check up in payment of gratuity act and see if the act is applicable to your company.

As specified by Mr.Pradyumna Kumar Atri you may go through section 1(3) on its applicability under The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

The Gratuity act says all those who have superannuated, resigned, and have put in 5 yrs service are eligible for gratuity at the rate of 15 days wages for every completed year of service i.e. 15/26*wages*no. of yrs service and the max gratuity payable has been increased to Rs. 10 L from 3.5 L. In the case of death the min period of service is relaxed.
