I would appreciate it if you could let me know the following;
1. Rules relating to compulsary PFand ESIC registation for a Pvt. ltd doing professional consultancy - which has less than 20 staff
2. If ESIC is applicable - is the consolidated salary constitute the limit of Rs.15000/- ? of is there any break up for it

Dear,
For pf and esic the employee strength should be 20. if the employee is less than that as per Act you could not deduct the PF and ESIC. But once the employee strength get pass to 20. then you can start deduction. After that the employee strength is not considered if the no. employee in your organisation get below 20. you have to deduct the PF and ESIC if there is only 1 employee.
There is no special break for ESIC contribution. The gross salary is considered and it is 15000/- after that it is compulsory not deduct the esic.
