As we know that any 7 employees can get together and form a Trade Union, hence, there is every possibility of having more than 1 registered trade unions in a company. But management cant go on negotiating with every union, therefore, out of these registered trade unions, the one with maximum numbers (preferably more than 30 %) is recognised by the management for negotiations, table talks etc
Rules for recognition of trade union differ in different states.
