Dear Sir(s),
I am working in a construction company and new in HR Field and I have to take disciplinary action against one of our employee, but I am unable to decide that at first I should issue Charge Sheet or so cause notice, also may please clear that what is a difference between Charge Sheet & So Cause Notice.

This info i got from cite hr.....
Show cause notice(SN) is issued for civil actions
and charge sheet(CS) is issued for criminal actions.
In Show cause notice, by serving this notice an opportunity is given to the offender for his actions by asking him to defend the charges made against him by explanations and reasons by writing and as well as personal hearing. If the offender clears himself that whatever he has done is right then the charges/actions will be dropped against him.
In charge sheet , you serve a notice against the criminal actions for defending, but should be very careful while serving this notice, you should take advice from proper lawyer. Otherwise it will backfire you.

Dear Suraj,
First & foremost you had recd a complaint & on the basis of Complaint you issue him to showcause i.e. asking him to give his clarification in writing then on the basis of his reply charges are framed against the person & chargesheet is prepared.
