I just wanted to know the benefits of recruiting through social networking sites. What is the actual procedure and is it helpful in closing critical positions? Your suggestions would be valuable & helpful.

Hey Poornima,
Social networking sites may be used as a huge database, however, they have their own pros & cons.
For instance, U may watch a persons activities and his/her network before approaching to him. Thus U will have a behavioural sketch of the person.
But, since most of the users dont portray their real selves, it may be misguiding as well.
Therefore, networking sites may be assumed as data pools and nothing more and hence, its not advisible to use these sites for critical recruitments.
