Hi
As per Bombay Shops and Establishment Act there are 21 days Paid Leave for Which an employee has to work for not less than 240 days during a year(irrespective of his date of commencement)
Provided that such leave may be accumulated upto a maximum period of 42 days.
Now my question is that is it compulsory to provide a leave of 21 days for a year
As I have drafted a leave policy stating
A) 6 days Sick Leave
B) Casual Leave 6 days
C) Paid Leave 15 days
Can I reduce the paid leave upto 15 days?
I request you to let me know whether the policy drafted hold any sense.
Existing no of total leaves in our company is 27 days,
With Warm Regards,
