Employer side you can deduct max 12% of basic
If any employee wants to contribute extra (employees Cont.) than the employee can give a declaration and ask the employer for higher cont. from employee side i.e. an employee can allow the employer to deduct 20% on basic but no interest is payable on extra cont.

The answer lies in your query only. The basic salary of your employees may be higher than Rs. 6500/- & your employer might be paying the pf contribution on actula basic salary. Regards Manoj

Dear Pooja and others,
If an employee draws basic+da more than Rs.6500.00 pm. Than it's employee's wish to remitt PF contn. on the excess/higher salary vide 50% of Basic. Similarly the Employer has obligation on Rs.6500.00 only. But, howervre if ER also may wish to pay the contribution on the excess (higher salary).
