Hi friends
Can any one put some light on Rs.6500/- PF deduction limit?
Few companies cut PF only upto 6500/- and few cut even quite more ahead of that.
what is the exact rule ?
please urgent

dear
as per law whose basic and DA is upto 6500 ,PF has to be deducted
but after that it is choice of employer to deduct or not to deduct.
if once someone become member of PF than he will remain member of PF>

Yes, they can do that. If the company want to continue PF beyond basic limit of Rs.6500/-, they can continue deducting. with regards, Mahesh

No It Is All Depends On Employee Consent. If You Are Not Ready To Cut Pf On Basic &da (20000) Then There Is No Law To Cut It From Your Salary. Sonu

Hi,
Up to Rs6500,it is must for employer to deduct and employee have to cotribute. But Above Rs 6500 it is upon the employer they want to deduct or not.But if basic +DA of the employee is above Rs 6500 and employer ready to deduct ,the employee can refuse to opt PF.But once his PF deducted then he can not refuse.
Thanking you
